Whirlwind

I spent the last week and 1/2 visiting all my kids and grandkids. This doesn't happen often, and I am so glad I was able to do this.

We (Jamie and I) first flew to Nashville and helped Lee and Doug drive out to Maryland, their new home state, and helped them move into their cute, cute townhouse. It was so fun to spend time with little Kevin and Andy, and love on them for 2 days! Then we drove up to Pennsylvania to spend a night or two with Lindsay and Steve, and played with their adorable kids, Lana and Ike, who I am sure is going to be a linebacker for an NFL team one day!
Then I flew to Salt Lake to babysit the other three grandkids, Lucas, Samantha and Tyler. They are so cute and busy! I was exhausted by the time Kristi and Jared came home, but enjoyed the time I spent with them. I always think I am younger than I am and it is moments like this, that I remember my age! It was fun to drive the kids to school, to dance, to karate, and everything in between! Kudos to you Kristi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One very memorable things we did that week was that I took Luc, Sam and Ty to the Draper Temple openhouse with my mom. The kids were so good and reverent throughout the tour, I am sure they felt the warmth of the spirit there. Lucas talked about going to the temple all week and that it was his favorite thing we did. It was a wonderful experience.

Saturday night I went to my moms symphony concert and heard the "Kings Singers". They were very entertaining and I really enjoyed it.

On Sunday Jerry and Julie and their family gathered at a church building and blessed the 5 new little grandkids they had. It was a nice evening, and fun to see the family and those sweet babies. The next day, Mac (Dad Bay) got JoAnn and I up at 2:30 am, to drive home to Phoenix. Was he kidding? But, we survived and I slept most of the way thanks to merezine (anti-nausea) medicine! We got home around 4:30 pm, so it was a long day, and I slept good that night. Now I am back to my normal life, cleaning cupboards, playing piano, watching "Top Chef, and Biggest Loser" and enjoying the quiet!!!
