Happiest place on earth for the big 5-0.

I Just booked the hotel for my 50th birthday getaway! For my birthday, I told Jamie that I wanted to go on a girls outing with 3 of my good friends! So, we are going to go to Disneyland and hopefully The Price is Right!! I am soooo excited. The friends I am going with are Correen, Joan and Cindi! They are all a blast and it will be a ton of fun!

Ladybugs,Lightening bugs and dragonflys

I LOVE ladybugs...Dragonflys and Lightening bugs (fireflys). When we lived in Memphis, I was crazy about ladybugs... I think they are cute and they are the one bug that I can actually hold and pick up. I also like dragonflys although I probably wouldn't pick one up, but they are interesting to me. Since moving from Memphis, one of the things I really miss about Spring and especially summer are the Lightening bugs or fireflys. It is so cool to be outside at night and see them light up. They are fascinating. As far as other bugs go, I can do without them.

"Hot" Dog Days

It was in the low 100's yesterday, and so in the late afternoon Jamie and Cody decided it was time to test out the pool. Cody was hesitant at first, but then got the feel for the water and realized it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be.
Here are a few pictures of his first swimming experience.

He loved it and kept climbing in the pool. When he is bigger, I think he will be a jumper and a diver. I hope I don't come out and find him floating face down in the pool one day!

Update on Cody...

He is still alive!

Pet peeve

At work yesterday, I sat by a woman who was probably in her 40's. I am almost 50 so, I know I was older than her, but ALL DAY LONG she kept calling me "Hon" or "Honey". It was the most annoying thing ever! I can't stand it when people call me hon or honey who are not entitled to do so! Only my husband and my parents and inlaws are allowed to do that! Anyway, it REALLY bugged me and I was so glad to get out of there so I wouldn't have to hear it again!

hot or cold?

So, not that I am complaining, especially with those of you still battling the cold and the snow, but a few days ago, it was windy and cold... in the 50's -60's (I know that isn't cold to most of you, but to us down here, it is cold).
Today it warmed up to about 85 and tomorrow it is supposed to be 96! What is the deal with the weather.? It just can't make up its mind... cold one day, hot the next.
