hot or cold?

So, not that I am complaining, especially with those of you still battling the cold and the snow, but a few days ago, it was windy and cold... in the 50's -60's (I know that isn't cold to most of you, but to us down here, it is cold).
Today it warmed up to about 85 and tomorrow it is supposed to be 96! What is the deal with the weather.? It just can't make up its mind... cold one day, hot the next.
